Becky has been coaching and leading successful individuals and teams for over 30 years. Additionally, she:

Coaching by Phone or zoom: It’s more efficient for both you and Becky, your leadership coach. No wasted time traveling to see your coach: attend your coaching sessions wherever you want, in your own office or a conference room at work, at home or even while traveling. Given that most people who hire a leadership coach are already very busy, this time-savings makes a huge difference. Becky lives in Central Arizona, phone secessions allow you to work with her no matter where you are in the world.

Coaching In-person: In person coaching sessions are available as you may prefer the personal face-to-face aspect of in-person coaching. *Additional fees and travel expenses may be required.

One-on-one and team coaching requires commitment from both sides and takes place over an extended period of time, packages are offered in 6, 9, or 12-month packages. In an initial interview, you will review the desired outcomes and Becky will design a program that will work for you.

Consulting. Coaching can be considered a form of consulting. However, consulting is often information and expertise based. For example, you might hire a consultant to help your business with a specific problem. In which case, you’d expect your consultant to have knowledge and experience in that particular area. Coaches on the other hand may or may not have a background or experience in your field. A leadership coach is a leadership specialist, an expert on helping you develop all areas of business and/or personal leadership. Unlike many consultants who propose a solution and leave you to implement it, your coach stays with you to help you integrate the changes, new skills, and goals to make sure they really happen. This, is one of the many reasons why leadership coaching is so effective–it is one thing to have the information and quite another to actually make the change!

 

Therapy. Coaching is not therapy. Leadership coaches don’t work on past-based issues or traumas. Leadership coaches are not psychologists or psychotherapists. If you start a coaching program and have not resolved an issue from the past, then it is very likely you will be referred to work with a therapist to resolve the issue. It is very common for unresolved traumas or addictions to stop us from getting what we want in our lives. Coaches focus on the present and the client’s goals for the future. We help people move forward and set personal and professional goals that will give them the life and career they really want. Most coaching clients are healthy, successful people who might be a bit stuck or simply want to make a big change in their lives and want the support of a coach to do so.

 

Best friend. A best friend or two or three is wonderful to have. But is your best friend an objective professional who you can trust to advise you on the most important aspects of your professional life and/or business? Sometimes, our friends can’t tell us the truth, as much as they would like to, because they don’t want to risk losing the friendship. As beneficial as one-on-one professional coaching is it isn’t appropriate for everyone.

Some people find it very difficult to make the needed changes. Remember; if nothing changes, then nothing changes. Coaching requires soul-searching work with another human being, that can make you feel uncomfortable at times.

If you are in need of therapy to resolve an issue from the past, have addictions to drugs or alcohol, have experienced a trauma or loss recently, now is probably not the best time to start a coaching program. Seek the help of a therapist or social worker in your community. Consult your doctor or clergy for a recommendation.
